ever been so tired that you can practically hear your brain begging for sleep? your eyes (the actual eyes) hurt and feel heavy, your head lulls forward every few minutes?

But for the life of you ya just can't get up and go to freakin bed? You can't keep your eye lids shut long enough for a proper blink, and you fingers are so twitchy you keep typing really odd posts before deleting them and going back to stumbleupon?

You have three tabs open, but you keep opening and closing more, not sure why you'd need them but you want them open anyway? one of the tabs is music but you're not listening to it, heck you can't keep the headphones on long enough for a full song anyway?

Yeah. I'm there right now. and I need to be up...soon.

Why is it that websites find my gender so important? Are some results or options disabled or enabled for a certain gender or something?

I doubt it.

But seriously, why is it important at all for anyone to know? I mean, imagine if the sites were asking what race you were? what religion? I'm sure there would be much more objections to those. So why is it ok for them to ask me my gender? =_=

Age I understand. Websites don't want underage groups to have access to certain things (although really if a brat wanted on to something they'd just lie anyway)

But where I live? my Zip code? My Gender?? That is none of their business.

So I started reading AirGear recently. You know for 13 year old Ikki is pretty hot, and Kazu, oh Kazu *shakes head*

Actually, pedophile jokes aside (...I am so sorry mother, I've shamed you by growing up to be a terrible person) It really is a fun series. A bit overly melodramatic what with the gravity kids and all that but as long as I don't think too hard, or at all for that matter, it's all good. (Ikkazu is my atotp woo)

but where I am now...I just saw something that's just...too

What is the president doing in Air Gear? I mean really, why? it's just...It's just too weird.

Flying roller blades? cool. Police special ops specifically targeting AT runner? Ok. Useless whiney apple character actually really powerful...sure, why not.

But president obama? No. No I just...It's brought gravity to my suspended disbelief. For some reason it's just too odd think about...

Maybe I just need some sleep. still Obama = cameo to dangerous illegal AT war? just...what? why?

Oh Writer's block
You've bested me once again
Oh Writer's block
Like a stalker you haunt my every thought, with ever strike of blue, black, red- heck even bright purple

You mock me

Every visit leaves my head throbbing in pain

Then again, maybe it would help to stop familiarizing my face to my desk

I find myself leaving my inspiration message after desperate message

"Come on baby, return to me, I swear- I'll be better! That other muse was nothing to me I swear!"

"Darling, Sweetie, I'm
dying without you. Come back, we can write that book I promised you; this year will be the year- hey, lucky 8th year right? Right?"

And I'll write you poetry- Sonnet, Haiku
Beatnik
All for Youuuuuuu

But man, there writer's block just hovering behind me, laughing

it's bad because inspiration is like "Nothing Huh? Nothing like that
other muse??

Nono! It's not like that I swear, it's a misunderstanding- You're the only metaphysical manifestation of artistic creativity for me baby I swea-

...Blast.

*points to finger phone* Hung up...

Writer's block, it's an awful lot like Lilly, my angry, evil little cat.

You feed it and feed it but all you get back is crap.

And maybe some bite marks.

What is the longest uninterrupted period of time you've ever watched TV? Were you alone or with a friend/partner? Do you tend to watch more TV when you're happy, depressed, or simply bored?

View 719 Answers

once I went a full day of watching tv. I normally don't watch a lot of tv, I have in fact gone entire weeks without even turning it on. But one day I just decided to sit down and watch a show, it turned out to be an all day marathon. I watched the entire thing.

The funny part is, I wasn't even a fan of the show before I watched it o_O

Another time I and another person spent all day, and into the night watching the entire FarScape series, ending of course with the movie finale. good times.

I tend to watch tv more when I'm bored, and when I feel let down by my computer. Because the internet is my primary entertainment when my updates of stories (I mostly read) run out and I've reread everything, I tend to get a bit unhappy. And because I've run out of my primary entertainment I'll switch to something else. If I feel too bored to play videogames (usually when I'm at a point in all of them where I have to grind) then I'll turn to television.

Are you planning to dress up for Halloween? How long do you typically plan your costume? Do you keep it a secret?

View 1031 Answers

Of course! I love costumes.

Well, I plan many costumes, but because I'm terrible at you know...sewing, and I'm ....you know... broke =,= I generally don't get to dress as them.

So usually I throw something together Halloween day. =/ it's a surprise for even me haha

I randomly took an online OWLS test today because it popped up on my screen.

I got an Exceeds Expectations. When I related my disappointment that I got even that high to my friend she comforted me by telling me it was really only a D.

I then wondered why it was such an congratulatory grade? Exceeds Expectations? Do the teachers expect the students to fail? that can't be good for morale.

I replied that it should have a more apt title, like

"Precariously Passed"
"Kinda Kept"
"Should've Studied"
"Barely Bearable"
"Just Justified"
"Sorta Stable"
"Almost Average"
"Dubiously Dedicated"
or
"Tentatively Taken"

I felt clever. Apparently my friend did not share in this opinion. Oh Well....

(I still secretly feel clever)

Have you ever stopped being friends with someone over differences in political views? Are there any issues that are so important to you that you cannot be friends with someone who holds a contrary opinion?

View 978 Answers

of course I have issues so important to me that I couldn't be friends with someone who differs. well, I actually have few friends >_> friends are special after all, but I do have a good amount of friendly acquaintances. One of which I don't mind hanging out with on occasion. if there is at least two of my other friends there as well, and if we only hang out for a short period at a time.

Actually I wouldn't mind them at all, they seem rather nice, but...This person is ...a biggot.

While I'm big on civil rights, equality and help out with the Human Rights Campaign

I feel very strongly about civil rights so when I received email from my acquaintance that was so anti-HR I actually felt physically ill. I hadn't known that people as blind and cruel actually existed in my area. After that I found myself unable to be in the same room with them for long without becoming nauseated. =/

I still hang out with them however, and I like playing videogames with our friends. I keep hope that maybe they will become less coldhearted by being near me =/ since I'm exactly what they were preaching against and they don't seem to hate me.

On the other side of the spectrum, I have a friend (Batman and Vader impersonator extraordinaire) who is also on the far right. Joked (but really not much of a joke as it was nearly true) as the only Republican of our senior year, you'd think it odd that he would be considered a good friend of a liberal, bisexual, pagan, but we are ^_^

He's a guy who is completely comfortable in his beliefs, and is not out to jam them down other's throats. We used to have long debates about religion, politics, etc and it was nice because there was not 'winner' or 'loser' just insight into the other person's views.

Of course it helps that we shared many other interests like comics and StarWars >D< and Disney songs.

good times, gooood times.

In the end I think that variety is good, and you should have friends that have different beliefs and values. What is important is that you don't lose sight of your own values. You need to know how far you are willing to bend, and when you can't turn a blind eye. My friends know exactly where I stand, and if they don't then they can ask. But I know my line, where I say 'sorry, but I can't ever agree with this please leave me alone.'

But then I expect the same for my friends. >_> I'd hope they wouldn't be afraid of telling me when I'm toeing a line, but then I'm pretty sure for most part we share similar views.

Writer's Block: Most memorable concert

What was the most memorable concert you ever attended? What made it so magical?

View 1501 Answers

Actually I've only ever gone to one concert =/

It was BonJovi (which I'd never actively listened to before) and I went with my younger brother. I hadn't slept in a few days due to a school project and then a party at a friends house, so I was a bit hyper (the more tired I am the more hyper I get)

We had great seats, high up but in just the right spot to see everything. The music was full of energy, the fans of course were going nuts and it really rubbed off on us. Soon we were cheering and holding up our phones (lacking a lighter) with everyone else.

I'm not a huge fan of BonJovi, I have a tshirt from the concert and two cds that my brother got me for Xmas, but I don't have an urge to buy any more.

But that concert was amazing and even if I see more concerts and they are more impressive, I think that my first concert will always be the most memorable.

hm let's see, snack wise right now I really like taking fresh roma tomatoes (from my awesome tomato plant) and slicing them up with onion , golden raisins, salt, pepper and olive oil, warmed up (1min in the microwave) and eaten with either tortilla or pita bread (also warm)

a really tasty meal is pesto pasta. Basil, garlic, roasted pine nuts, salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil are blended together. mix into nice hot pasta. You can add just about anything, one I like is sun-dried tomatoes. apple and cranberry is a great combo as well.

I have an odd hobby. I like listening to people talk. not face to face, and it doesn't have to be someone I know- in fact most of the time it is not. It doesn't have to be english. I love listening, to people speaking in the background, while I read or write. the changes of tone, the hum of emotion, language is a beautiful thing.

Here's the really odd part, I love listening to fanatics. the ones sure that the the end is near, that there are horrible government conspiracies, symbols that show the way. Basically crazy talk spoken by those who are sure that they aren't yelling silly, ridiculous banter.

I've listened to some really crazy sounding people. Proffering lies and paranoid propaganda, but the words themselves isn't really what I'm listening to anyway. Most of the time I'll listen to something 3-5 times and never actually know what the topic is. >D<

so yeah, that's the odd post of the day. =/

I hate crates

  • Sep. 9th, 2009 at 12:19 AM

Well one great thing happened today (actually now technically yesterday) There is a puppy in my home. he's adorable. little black Labrador mix with a bit of border collie in there too. He's very very sweet and smart. I adore him. (haven't figured out a name yet but leaning toward Nicolae Chopin)

The problem? actually he's still a bit sick with a parasite (something to do with drinking bad water) because it is contagious he's under quarantine. he's home and not at the Humane Society still because it's over packed there and they need help. (I would never take home a pet that would be better at the HS, not if their health depended on it!)

The hardest part, harder than the no kisses law is that he can't sleep in my bed. He has to sleep in a crate until out of quarantine. I understand it's for his own health.

But I hate it.

Right now poor baby is crying pitifully in his crate. I did my best to tire him out playing before bed, and I even let him familarize himself with the crate before putting him in. Let him explore it, left the door open etc. But now, when he should be sleeping on his blankets next to his soft toys, he's crying. He sounds scared and distressed and I want exactly what he wants, to curl up with him in bed and sleep. But I can't.

hopefully he will mellow out for bedtime over time, and then it will be a great happy night that he's finally out of quarantine and he'll never have to sleep in that damn crate ever again. but until the min. of 7 days is over there's not way at all he can.

I hope I don't go mad before then.

Oh sweet mercy, he's quieting down. maybe he finally fell asleep?

12:30am no he has not.

Sleep. when I'm sick or hurt I just get tired. Not the best survival instinct but what can I do? ^_^*

Also I tend to only eat one thing. plain sourdough toast and warm tea. if I eat at all I'm going to want this. usually if it's a weekend and I don't have work to do, I'll spend it eating a brunch of tea and toast then sleep.
